Automation of test/release processes
Our collaboration with Audi AG
The demands on the production units of AUDI AG are continuously increasing with the expansion of the product range and the shortening of product cycles.
In order to be able to continue to meet these requirements effectively and efficiently, IT supported optimisations are being driven forward as part of the „Digital Factory/ViTech“ project.
Within the car body construction department, attention is paid to the further development in the department „Technology Development Joining“.
One component of this project is the development of a database on joining techniques to create a common database basis with standardised and consistent workflows with the task of enabling central storage with worldwide accessibility. With increasing data volume the process support develops into a knowledge database for all test results and their parameters, thereby enabling automated release processes for car body construction.
The Challenges
- Development of a knowledge database with audit-proof information that serves as a basis for deciding which joining technologies and technology-specific parameters are suitable for which car body parts, taking core premises into account.
- Central administration of rapidly growing amounts of data on test results, expert knowledge on joining technologies, documentation, approved materials, etc.
- Importing, processing and evaluating data of varying quality from different systems.
- Development of an accepted, labour-saving and standardised workflow. Step-by-step automation of approval processes as part of continuous further development using artificial intelligence (algorithms).
- Integration and connection of the application into the existing IT landscape of the group (Audi, VW).
Our contribution ...
With think tank, we have not only made the joining data bank a central and popular application within Audi AG, but have also increased our efficiency enormously.

Ministry of Economy and Finance of Madagascar
Development of central electronic guarantee register
Our cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance
The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Madagascar is interested in enabling investors, especially SMEs, to apply for secured loans to drive economic development in the country.
The project, set up for the Ministry of Justice of Madagascar, is financially supported by the
IFC, part of the World Bank Group, to promote economic growth in Madagascar through
greater transparency in the credit system
Part of this initiative was the design, development and implementation of a central e-guarantee registry. This enables the Government of Madagascar to facilitate access to credit, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises
Challenge
- Cultural differences led to communication barriers and a lack of understanding of local
business practices, which hampered the success of the project. - Infrastructural realities in Madagascar also posed a challenge, making it difficult for team members to collaborate effectively and coordinate their efforts.
- In addition, there are a number of laws and regulations in Madagascar that must be adhered to when implementing a project, which was somewhat difficult, especially for foreign companies.
Despite these challenges, the IT project was completed on time, within budget and to the
satisfaction of all involved
Our Contribution ...
A big congratulations for this huge achievement, and a great way to close of 2022. Thanks for your collaboration, perseverance and solution oriented mindset. Looking forward to the next phase of the project in 2023.

Web application Your Product Assistance
Our cooperation with the BMW Group
As a globally operating automobile and motorbike manufacturer, the BMW Group is a highly technical corporation. Accordingly, we have developed software with equally high requirements for the premium manufacturer with the highest quality standards for its vehicles.
Safety and compliance guidelines are adhered to, documented and checked with the help of a process framework. One component of this framework is the web app “Your Product Guidance Asstistant” (YPA).
Challenge
Analogous to the “BRIO” in the classic project management context, the YPA should be used as support in the agile process environment.
In terms of agile thinking, the focus is on supporting the feature teams.
The YPA should support the product teams in understanding and fulfilling all mandatory artefacts, compliance, security, ISO and much more.
One of the biggest challenges was to achieve high acceptance among a broad user base with excellent usability.
The solution was a fully test-automated MVP that was presented within a few weeks.

WARP - Change Order Platform
Our Cooperation with IDS GmbH
IDS GmbH – Analysis and Reporting Services (IDS) is a 100% subsidiary of Allianz SE. It stands for managed services around data management, risk controlling, performance analysis and reporting of investments and in this context provides its clients with regulatory documents for their portfolio.
What is special about IDS is the holistic coverage of business processes along the aforementioned investment value chain. Through their technical as well as professional solution competence, IDS employees ensure rapid successes, while IDS clients concentrate on their core business and gain competitive advantages.
Our task was to develop a web-based, audit-proof order platform for change orders with specific (e.g. release) workflows regarding regulatory documents and master data (MVP).
Challenge
Creating an application within a short set time that had to be integrated into the complex infrastructure.
Due to the client’s wish to introduce the agile approach at the same time, we also took on the role of product owner.
The business experts were involved in the operational business and the approach to the development of a new application was still unknown.

Development of the National Company Register - RNE
Our cooperation with the CRNE
Goals
- Digitalising and securing all administrative processes and formalities: company registration, digitisation of official documents (secure QR codes, electronic signature), online payment of fees, validation process through to publication of all information relating to the economic fabric.
- Guarantee 24/7 access to online administrative services, with real-time monitoring of procedures.
- Automatically centralise the data entered by citizens/agents/registrars, making it easier to find information on companies/organisations on the register.
- Minimise processing time and related administrative costs.
Challenges
- Long queues at counters and frequent journeys to complete administrative procedures are major sources of frustration and dissatisfaction for citizens and entrepreneurs in Tunisia.
- The complex manual processes involved in setting up and running a business lead to inefficiency, slowness, errors and considerable costs (paperwork, etc.).
- The technical challenges associated with the Tunisian authorities’ IT infrastructure, which is often obsolete, need to be overcome.
Our contribution ...
Together with our IT partner think tank Business Solutions, we have succeeded in designing and setting up one of the most efficient and complex IT system in the eGov Environment since 2008, which is the Business Corporate Registry of Tunisia.

With more than 65 years of experience in the development and manufacture of flexible metal hoses and gas-tight decoupling elements, they have established themselves as a long-term manufacturer of high-quality assemblies at the forefront of the competition.
The globally oriented company WESTFALIA reliably undertakes the development and supply of innovative line systems for on- and off-road vehicles as well as industrial applications.
The direct proximity to the globally active manufacturers of on- and off-road vehicles is achieved through locations in Germany, the Czech Republic, China and the USA.
Challenge
At the request of an automobile manufacturer, Westfalia had to provide proof of a TISAX label adapted to the requirements for further cooperation.
Our challenge was to determine the currently existing information security level of Westfalia and to present it transparently.
Our Contribution ...
Our challenge was to determine where we currently stand in terms of information security. think tank’s support provided us with a GAP analysis on which we could base further steps.
We particularly liked the detailed explanations of the respective questions in the cooperation with think tank.

Our cooperation with KARL BACHL GmbH & Co. KG
KARL BACHL GmbH & Co KG is a medium-sized company for products and services in the construction sector.
The customer is now represented at over 40 locations with approx. 1,800 employees.
In addition to the German production sites, there are also plants and trading subsidiaries in Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Croatia and Romania.
Challenge
The continuous growth through company takeovers presents the client with the challenge of integrating them into the existing group of companies.
Information security and data protection requirements play a central role in this process.
Our task was to determine the information security level according to ISO 27001
Our contribution ...
Our challenge was to analyse the status of the currently established information security level and whether this corresponds to an appropriate basic information protection at standard level in order to be able to close important gaps if necessary.
The support provided by think tank gave us an overview of all information security requirements according to ISO 27001 and what degree of fulfilment they have in the company. This enabled us to identify the essential points for achieving an appropriate level of security.
What we particularly liked about the cooperation with think tank was the open and honest communication regarding the weaknesses that were uncovered in combination with proposed practical solutions, which were underpinned by the excellent expertise of the consultants.
